Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc is seeking a facilities maintenance technician to maintain all facilities equipment (HVAC units, air compressors, DI water systems) and perform building repairs and preventative maintenance to keep operations running smoothly. You will install and set up required equipment, support the production equipment maintenance team, and ensure safety and timely service requests.

The role requires 5–7 years of experience in facilities maintenance and a hands-on, self-motivated

• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hazardous material handling.
• Demonstrated preventative maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Self-motivated with time management and initiative.

Job Description

Requirements/Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience within a facilities maintenance department.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and hazardous material identification and handling.
• Demonstrated preventative maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management skills and demonstrated initiative; ability to work with little to no direction at times.
• Strong service orientation; a commitment to delivering prompt. quality service and to maintaining a safe work environment.
• High attention to detail and excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels within the organization.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with some office applications.
• Trade school education preferred.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $18.27 - $46.63.*
