Job summary

Magna Exteriors is seeking an IT support professional to respond to user calls, set up and maintain PCs, and handle hardware/software issues on site in Tennessee. The role requires networking experience, problem solving, and strong communication skills to support a busy environment.

The candidate should have an AS/technical degree with related experience, plus proficiency in Windows, Lotus Notes, MS Office and AutoCAD. Collaboration and multitasking are essential in this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Hardware experience encompassing networking; Ethernet and LAN, PCs, plotters and printers.
• Software – Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD.
• Must have good problem solving skills.
• Must have good math skills.
• Must have excellent computer skills.
• Must work well with others. Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written.
• Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and have a high tolerance for stressful situations.
• Must have strong understanding of business systems.
• Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, MIS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Responds to customer (user) calls concerning personal computers, touch screens, printers, etc.
• Sets up new personal computers.
• Performs preventative maintenance on personal computers.
• Distributes new personal computers to users, ensuring all appropriate software and logins are functional.
• Contacts vendors for support and resolution of issues.
• Maintains an acceptable attendance record and works overtime as required.
• Participates in resolution of computer system problems (hardware or software) as the need arises.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area.
• Participates in department meetings.
• Completes documentation of activities as required.
• Submits cost reduction and innovation ideas.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Preferred: Two years applied experience related to essential functions.
