TransCore (TCI), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a full-time Senior Fiber Optic Splicer to join our team in Tampa, Florida.
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Fiber Optic Splicer will be to fusion splice fiber optic cables in both outdoor and indoor settings. Read, create and maintain splicing schematics and diagrams and maintain control of outside plant (OSP) activities surrounding the assigned work site(s). Take and maintain accurate splicing and field notes, support project timelines, and inspect, design and provide accurate records for projects. Manage/assign the daily workload of the fiber optic splicing team. This position requires field work, which may include overtime, weekends, holidays, and out-of-normal work hours. Travel will be required and may be up to 50%, depending on the business needs.
