Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is hiring a Technician III-Shop for our Bryan, TX location.

The role focuses on diagnosing, servicing, and repairing diesel-powered construction equipment in a busy shop, with overtime eligibility and a typical Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Qualifications

• 3+ years’ diesel mechanic experience, construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines (Tier 4 and aftertreatment).
• Repairs on diesel/gas engines, electricals, hydraulics, pneumatics, and drive trains.
• Must have tools valued at $5,000+ to perform the job.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment per manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service including checking fluid levels and lubrication.
• Perform novice welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance and warranty records.
• Team-player and self-starter with clear career growth prospects.

Hiring Immediately Pay dependent on Experience; PAID WEEKLY!

Typical Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus

Location This role will be based in our shop in Bryan, TX with the occasional need to maintenance or repair equipment in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum 3+ years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
