Job summary

TEAM, Inc. is seeking an experienced valve technician to perform complete overhaul and testing of control valves, actuators and positioners from major manufacturers. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair in both shop and field settings, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Daily interactions with customers and reporting to the Operations Manager are expected. Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 3–5 years of valve repair experience, and knowledge of HART

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3–5 years of valve repair experience.
• Control valve manufacturers training courses and/or certifications preferred.
• Knowledge of HART Communicator or other diagnostic analyzer required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete overhaul and testing of control valves, actuators and positioners from Fisher, Masoneilan, Rotork, Automax and others.
• Execute diagnostics and troubleshooting in shop and field environments.
• Directly communicate with customers and report to Operations Manager.
• Maintain safety, adhere to quality procedures and generate repair reports.
• Work autonomously in valve repair process and ensure compliance with quality system.

Job description

Perform complete over-haul and testing of all manufacturers control valves, actuators and positioners to include: Fisher, Masoneilan, Rotork, Automax, and others. Execute diagnostics and trouble-shooting in shop and field environments. Directly reports to the Operations Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern.

Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values.

Perform control valve repair in accordance to TEAM’s quality procedures.

Directly communicate with customers.

Work autonomously in valve repair process.

Ensure all diagnostic, testing, and repair reports are in compliance with quality system.

Job Qualifications

Education preferred: high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Minimum 3- 5 years of experience.

Control Valve Manufacturers Training Courses and/or certifications preferred.

Knowledge of HART Communicator or other diagnostic analyzer manufacturer required.

0 to 30% minimum travel requirement.

Work Conditions

Position is based out of a branch or site location.

Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in a plant atmosphere.

Interaction with other crew employees, as well as supervisors and client personnel.

Working in plant and/or shop areas around production machinery with extreme noise levels.

Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.

May be at more than one job site in a day and must be able to tolerate climate changes.

May be required to travel out of town on a periodic basis

Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds.

Must be able to walk and climb except when performing non-field duties.
