Job description

Technician II Technology-Operator 1-1st Shift

Location and Schedule:

Based in Springfield, TN. The shift runs from 3:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday-Thursday, depending on production needs. This role supports the production line and follows production schedules.

Note: We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position at this time.

Main Tasks:

1. Operate various heavy equipment and monitor processes to ensure proper fabrication standards.
2. Contribute as a team member and participate in team projects, using judgment to check parts for imperfections.
3. Perform troubleshooting and minor preventive maintenance on machines.
4. Conduct safety checks, operate start/stop presses, load steel coils, and adjust straighteners and steel alignment.
5. Manage scrap raking without tripping safety lights, adjust lubrication, and identify coils.
6. Handle feeder accelerations, lead checks, lubrication systems, and use micrometers/calipers.
7. Operate wrenches and HMS controls, load jobs in presses, and manage die tying/untieing.
8. Pass basic skills tests within 30 days of training; failure results in disqualification.
9. After 6 months, can begin training to advance to the 028 Intermediate Level.

Qualifications:

1. Steel toe shoes are required.
2. Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.
3. Ability to stand most of the shift.
4. Ability to read and write English.
5. Must pass Lockout/Tagout training prior to job bid.
6. Must be Yellow Gear or obtain certification within 6 months.
7. Entry Level 017 position can be held for up to 9 months; moving to the next level is required otherwise disqualification occurs.
