Job summary

Catalent, Inc. in Madison, WI is hiring Technician II Staging in the Supply Chain team. The role is 100% on-site with a Wednesday–Saturday 2pm–12am shift, supporting staging and material transfers for production in a GMP setting.

No experience is required, but 1+ years in cold storage or material operations is preferred; JD Edwards, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams experience is advantageous. Prior warehouse equipment handling is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • No experience required; 1+ years preferred in cold storage or material operations.
  • Experience with JD Edwards, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams preferred.
  • Experience operating warehouse equipment (handheld scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks) preferred.
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/cGMP/GDP/GLP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Using FEFO (First Expiry First Out) basis, pick, stock, verify, identify inventory, or deliver materials
  • Execute and properly document cGMP biomanufacturing activities and support SOP and Job Aid completion
  • Stage raw materials and components for production using scanner, mobile device and computers to maintain inventory
  • Perform housekeeping, equipment cleaning, waste disposal, and adhere to 5S standards
  • Manage work orders: printing, picking, staging, issuing materials, closing orders
  • Support production and lab materials replenishment
  • Complete inventory cycle count activities as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Technician II Staging - Supply Chain

Position Summary: Work Schedule: Wednesday– Saturday, 2pm-12am 100% on-site (Madison, WI)

Located in Madison, WI, this facility features advanced mammalian cell line engineering and biomanufacturing capabilities using single-use systems to support scalable production. This 263,000 sq. ft. Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facility offers integrated formulation and analytical services to address complex development challenges in Biologics. The Staging Department is responsible for transferring raw materials or semi-finished goods from storage areas to production locations. Materials are staged for production at a certain time, in a particular quantity and at a designated staging area. This is an entry level non-laboratory role that will allow you to acquire the skills to work in a cGMP environment. The Technician I Staging - Supply Chain position will support department functions as a key member.

Responsibilities
  • Using FEFO (First Expiry First Out) basis, pick, stock, verify, identify inventory, or deliver materials
  • Execute and properly document cGMP biomanufacturing activities and support SOP and Job Aid (JA) completion
  • Stage raw materials and components for production by using DSI scanner, mobile device and computers to maintain accurate inventory spreadsheets
  • Perform housekeeping, equipment cleaning, waste disposal, and adhere to 5S standards
  • Management of all work orders which includes printing, timely picking and staging of all materials, issuing materials to and closing work orders upon completion
  • Support production and lab materials replenishment
  • Ability to complete inventory cycle count activities as requested
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • No experience required, but highly preferred to have 1+ years of experience in cold storage material handling, shipping, or material operations environment
  • Experience with JD Edwards (ERP), Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams highly preferred
  • Prior experience operating warehouse equipment (handheld scanners, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) is preferred
  • Prior pharmaceutical or food manufacturing/processing, cGMP, GDP, or GLP experience preferred
  • Physical requirements: Individual must be able to see, hear, read, and write clear English. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen, reaching with hands and arms, talking, writing, listening. Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, carrying, grasping. Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds. Must comply with EHS responsibilities.
