Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Coralville, IA is seeking a Technician II, Quality Control – MQC to join the Materials Quality Control team on-site. The role supports manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through various analytical test methods, with shift Monday–Friday, 8:00pm–5:00am.

Responsibilities include preparing samples and reagents per SOPs, operating multiple analytical instruments (NMR, GC, UV-Vis, Mass Spec, HPLC) and recording data to inform pass/fail decisions.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and two years of applicable experience.
• Proficiency with computers and software in a windows environment.
• Experience with analytical instrumentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is a plus.

The Technician II, Quality Control – MQC is responsible for the testing of incoming and produced materials for use in the manufacture of IDT products. This position reports to the Manager of Materials Quality Control, and is part of the Materials Quality Control Team located in Coralville, Iowa and will be as on-site role. Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00pm – 5:00am (weekday overnight)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Support manufacturing by ensuring product and process quality through a variety of analytical test methods. Handle sample and reagent preparation in accordance with established SOPs for analytical and functional assays while maintaining detailed and accurate sample, product, and instrument records. Operate multiple analytical instruments (ie. NMR, GC, UV-Vis, Mass Spec, Capillary Electrophoresis, RP-HPLC) and process and analyze data to make pass/fail decisions on tested materials.

• Associate’s degree and two years of applicable experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proficiency with computers and a variety of software in a windows-based environment
• It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• Experience working with analytical instrumentation.
