Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in San Diego is seeking a lab technician to prepare and test reagents for synthesis, purification, and QC, ensuring accurate pass/fail decisions on oligos. You will operate automated and manual equipment, while adhering to safety and SOPs.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with lab experience, an associates degree in science (bachelors preferred), and offers an onsite night shift from Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 7 AM, with comprehensive benefits.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Prepare, test and monitor reagents for synthesis, purification, and quality control processes
• Assesses QC data accurately and makes pass/fail decisions for oligos
• Use automated and manual lab equipment accurately; including limited maintenance, decontamination and troubleshooting activities while adhering to safety regulations, lab SOPs, and contamination controls

The essential requirements of the job include:

• High School diploma or GED with 18 months of lab experience
• Associates degree in science related field
• Bachelors degree in science related field preferred

Shift: Su - Th 10 pm -7am

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Excellent computer skills which include knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Ability to perform repetitive work or to perform continuously the same work, according to set procedures sequence or pace.
• Ability to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

The hourly range for this role is $23-25. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
