Job summary

Lancesoft is seeking a skilled technician to join our Plainfield, IN team. The role covers electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.

You will perform a range of duties, including calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and data reporting, while staying on site with moderate supervision. You will work from schematics and instructions, assist with production and maintenance tasks, and provide technical support across operations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of systems, techniques, and procedures.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; vocational or technical education or certification may be required in addition to prior work experience.

Responsibilities

• Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
• Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment; conduct tests and report data in prescribed format.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
• Provide technical support in production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement, or product development.
• Use schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment, or systems.
• Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate technical data using established formulae and procedures, and perform detailed mathematical calculations.

Additional Information

Need to be on site each day Work under moderate supervision, performing tests, interpreting data, and developing reports. Perform intermediate technical activities requiring judgment and decision-making. Communicate typically with internal contacts, obtaining and providing technical information requiring some explanation or interpretation. May provide guidance and assistance to new or entry-level employees.

Required Knowledge and Experience
