Job summary

Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) in Coralville, IA is seeking a Metrology Technician II to complete scheduled and reactive calibration on production equipment to ensure it performs to specification.

You will report to the Supervisor as part of the Metrology team on-site, with a Monday-Thursday shift 1:30pm-12:00am, and will calibrate and document actions in the CMMS, supporting multiple buildings across the IDT campus.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience in a lab or calibration environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Learn calibration for over 60 types of equipment.
• Support calibration at multiple IDT buildings.
• Document actions into the CMMS following Good Documentation Practices.

This Metrology Technician II is responsible for completing scheduled and reactive calibration on production equipment to ensure it is performing to specification.

This position reports to the Supervisor and is part of the Metrology team located in Coralville, IA and will be an onsite role.

Shift: Monday - Thursday; 1:30pm-12:00am, (Weekday Second Shift)

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Learn calibration for over 60 types of equipment
• Support calibration at multiple buildings on the IDT campus
• Document actions performed into the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) accurately and according to Good Documentation Practices

The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include

• Associate's degree + 2 years of relevant experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Working in a lab setting
• Attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
