Job summary

Techlink Systems Inc. in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Technician II to service electronic equipment in a strict on-site environment.

The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and testing using schematics, oscilloscopes, multimeters and other diagnostic tools. Candidates should have 3–5 years of hands-on experience repairing devices to component level, SMT experience, and an Associates degree in electronics or equivalent.

Qualifications

• AA/AS degree in electronics or Electronic Certification required.
• 3–5 years troubleshooting and repair experience to component level.
• SMT experience is required; may perform as Bench Technician or Service Tech.

Responsibilities

• Use schematics, oscilloscopes, multimeters to adjust, repair, maintain and test electronic equipment.
• Experience in a production test environment with electronic test equipment.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with test procedures is required.
• Candidate may assist end users via phone or email as needed.

Job Title: Technician II
Location (On-site, Remote, or Hybrid?): Pleasanton, CA (onsite)
Contract Duration: 1 year
Work Hours: 7a - 3:30p

Description:
Uses schematics, oscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools to adjust, repair, maintain, and test electronic equipment.

• Needs prior 3-5 years experience in troubleshooting and repairing electronic devices down to component level.
• Prior SMT experience a must. May perform as a Bench Technician (Tech I). Also may translate into lateral position as a Service Tech that will assist end users with troubleshooting via phone and/or e-mail.
• Applicant must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Electronics or 5 years of hands on experience in the service/repair field.
• Due to the nature of the work candidate will need to get a Hep B vaccination which the client will cover.
• Position is temp to hire and goal is to convert to FTE after 3 months.
• Manager is looking for candidates with Electronic Tech / Electronic service repair experience not Electrician experience.

Job Requirements

• Experience working in a production test environment.
• Experienced working with electronic test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies.
• Basic computer skills required.
