Job summary

Main Event Entertainment is seeking a Technician II to maintain and repair our games and entertainment options, ensuring they operate safely and at peak performance across the center.

You will troubleshoot, disassemble and repair mechanical/electrical components, manage inventory, and uphold cleanliness and safety standards while engaging guests as a FUN ambassador. Paid on-the-job training and opportunities for growth are provided.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• 1+ years of general knowledge/skill in repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment or arcade games.
• Knowledgeable in electronics, mechanics and hydraulics.
• Ability to use hand tools and perform work on ladders.
• OSHA safety practices and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, mechanical and technical work for maintenance and repairs.
• Troubleshoot repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
• Disassemble and replace mechanical/electrical components.
• Maintain inventory records and order supplies as needed.
• Keep mechanic shop and facility organized and clean.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards and guest engagement as a FUN ambassador.
• Pay attention to safety and provide excellent guest experience.
• Participate in paid on-the-job training.

Job Description

At Main Event, our Technicians are responsible for maintaining the FUN! As a Technician, Tech II specifically, you are knowledgeable about the mechanics and operations of our games and entertainment options and ensure they are performing properly and safely. You are responsible for supporting the maintenance of the center’s equipment, building, and systems, to name a few. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

What Will You Be Doing Daily?

• Performing electrical, mechanical, and technical work related to construction, repairs, preventive, and scheduled maintenance (gotta keep things running!)
• Troubleshooting repairs on games, tellers, pinsetters, etc.
• Disassembling, replacing, and repairing mechanical and electrical components or parts such as bearings, coils, armatures, and wiring
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Ordering supplies, tools, and materials as needed
• Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of the mechanic shop and facility
• Upholding our cleanliness and safety standards (We take this seriously!)
• Welcome and engage with all guests while being a FUN ambassador!
• Paid on-the-job training!

Position Requirements

• 18+ years of age
• 1+ years of general knowledge/skill set in the repair and maintenance of automated bowling equipment or arcade games
• Guest-focused mindset (We heart our Guests!)
• Teamwork is a must (Teamwork makes the dream work!)
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to learn and utilize multiple systems that support the business
• Skilled in practical application of electronics, mechanics, and hydraulics
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools; ability to use and handle tools to perform work
• Ability to perform work on ladders
• Ability to handle equipment up to 250 lbs.
• Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations and safety practices
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
• Can effectively communicate with Management, Team Members, and Guests
• Availability to workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays
