Job summary

Ultra Clean Technology in Austin, TX is seeking a CNC Technician II to join our manufacturing team. The CNC operator will handle cutter operation and procedures with solid mechanical aptitude, read work orders and drawings, and work independently with minimal direction while maintaining accuracy throughout the shift.

Responsibilities include performing routine quality checks, monitoring machine speeds, logging data, and reporting maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

  • CNC operator with 1-2 years' experience.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings including GD&T (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Basic math skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to detail and safety conscious.

  • Read and understand work orders and project details; ensure product meets specifications.
  • Perform quality checks according to procedures to ensure quality standards.
  • Monitor machine efficiencies and speeds; adjust to meet standards.
  • Complete data collection entries and report material usage per project.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Record maintenance and material usage logs; handle logs.
  • Work shifts and overtime when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

UCTis looking for a talentedCNC Technician IIto join us inAustin, TX!The CNC operator will have knowledge of cutter operation and procedures along with a good mechanical aptitude with experience in operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of production equipment. They will have the ability to read measuring devices and calculate fractions, be able to read and follow directions and be able to work independently with minimal direction. This position requires the operator to be accurate and precise, able to stand for entire shift and possess good interpersonal skills. Basic math skills are a minimum requirement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand work orders, layouts and other project details. Use project information to ensure product is produced according to required specifications.
  • Perform quality checks according to established procedures to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor machine efficiencies & speed to ensure production levels meet or exceed standards. Adjust as needed.
  • Complete data collection entries and report to inventory coordinator material usage per project.
  • Troubleshoot issues that may arise.
  • Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment and surrounding area.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for completing log for maintenance requests, material usage, hold/waste and recycled material logs.
  • Ability to work shifts and overtime when required.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • CNC Cutting/Router machine operator: Minimum of 1-2 years' experience
  • Operators must have the ability to work well with others while handling internal pressures.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills required.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Good mechanical aptitude.
  • Attention to the details.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerances, preferred.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience Requirement:

Work Experience:Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working as a CNC Operator or with similar heavy manufacturing machining equipment.
