Job Title

Technician I

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test equipment in accordance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building and electrical codes.
• Repair, restore, and test systems to ensure proper operation and compliance with project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building and electrical codes.
• Provide daily communications with Project Manager on delays, requirements and general status of jobs to ensure delivery of the project.
• Perform all work in accordance with Company standards and quality installation practices.
• Work with the Project Manager to ensure complete closeout and turnover of jobs to the client and Service Department.
• Work at required heights utilizing ladders, scaffolding, lifts, or other equipment.
• Work in confined spaces as necessary.
• Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience working in the electronic field with daily application of AC/DC theory and installation experience (e.g., HVAC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screening.
• Ability to use hand and specialty power tools associated with the industry.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs consistently.
• Able to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of prior experience in a technical role within a Residential or Commercial Integrated Security Systems Company.
• Associate’s degree (2‑year) in a technical field.
• Aptitude for learning system programming as evidenced by 1 year of experience.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, climb, walk, sit, push, pull, squat, crawl, and stoop.
• Use hands to finger, handle, feel objects, and type on keyboard; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Use of power tools will be required to effectively perform this position.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to work at heights over 6 feet.

Working Conditions

• Onsite Data Center environment. The working conditions will be typical of a Commercial Construction site.
