Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Mount Holly Springs, PA, seeks an entry-level manufacturing test technician to support automated testing and basic assembly activities. You will read process docs, interpret data, and help troubleshoot test issues while working with a team on quality-focused production lines.

Full-time role with on-site work, opportunities for training, and strong benefits. The position includes a 3:30 pm–12:00 am shift with a 10% differential for that shift and potential for growth

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, production, or mechanical environments preferred but not required.
• Quality and safety minded, detail-oriented, and organized.
• Good written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform automated testing.
• Interpret test data to determine pass/fail results.
• Troubleshoot test failures, equipment malfunctions, and product issues to determine root cause and support corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment (multimeter) and automated test systems.
• Perform basic soldering of surface-mount components.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing
• Interpret test data to determine pass / fail test results
• Troubleshoot test failures, equipment malfunctions, and product issues to determine root cause and support corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment (multi meter) and automated test systems
• Basic soldering of surface mount components
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Required:
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical environment preferred, but not required.
• Quality and safety minded Detail-oriented and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Basic PC skills, math skills, and product knowledge Basic electronic / electrical knowledge or understanding
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High School Diploma or GED required

Schedule:

M-F, 3:30pm-12am -> 10% shift differential when working this shift!
