Job summary

Charles River is seeking a Process Evaluation Testing Services assistant under direct supervision to perform daily laboratory tasks related to process evaluation testing services.

Charles River Biologics group offers extensive regulatory expertise and a global client base in biotechnology and pharmaceutical development. You will prepare materials, maintain inventories, and perform routine experiments while adhering to cGMPs/cGLPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related discipline.
  • 0–1 year of related laboratory experience.
  • Experience with qPCR preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs or regulatory affairs preferred.

  • Perform daily laboratory operations.
  • Prepare materials and buffers used in projects.
  • Maintain inventories of supplies/buffers used in projects.
  • Perform routine experiments, tests and procedures following well-defined guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all protocols, SOPs, and cGMPs/cGLPs as they relate to specific tasks.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Job Overview

Under direct supervision, responsible for performing daily laboratory tasks as they relate to Process Evaluation Testing Services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform daily laboratory operations.
  • Prepare materials and buffers used in projects.
  • Maintain inventories of all supplies/buffers used in projects.
  • Perform routine experiments, tests and procedures following well-defined guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to Company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all protocols, SOPs, and cGMPs/cGLPs as they relate to specific tasks.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in Biology or related discipline.
Experience: 0-1 years related experience in biological lab. Experience with qPCR preferred.
Certification/Licensure: None
Other: Knowledge of cGMPs or regulatory affairs pertaining to the pharmaceutical and biological industries is preferred. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills to maintain communication across biological functional groups. Able to communicate effectively in a group or one on one setting. Basic Microsoft Office skills are a plus.

The pay range for this position is $24.70 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
