  • Ensure trainings meet departmental, quality, and regulatory requirements and are documented.
  • Manage learning management systems to maintain training records for personnel.

Job Overview

Under minimal supervision, responsible for providing, coordinating, documenting, maintaining, and scheduling basic through advanced technical training activities in concert with operational staff. Also responsible for assisting with developing, revising, and implementing technical training tools, including documents and processes to support the overall operational training program. Assist in managing and reviewing the learning management systems used by operational personnel for training record maintenance. Ensure that new and existing operational personnel are proficient in skill sets required to perform cGMP laboratory work which includes working in a controlled laboratory environment.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in developing technical training programs for new and existing employees which encompass basic through advanced technical skills. These skills include use and interpretation of departmental protocols, as well as cGMP, safety, and technical processes/procedures.
  • Provide, coordinate, and schedule technical training for laboratory departments.
  • Provide and coordinate additional technical training to personnel based on identified trends, gaps, and noted deficiencies.
  • Ensure that all training provided meets specific departmental, quality, and regulatory requirements and is documented appropriately.
  • Assist with managing and reviewing the learning management systems to properly maintain training records for operational personnel.
  • Assist in the maintenance of documents and databases used for the support and conduct of training tasks including, but not limited to, training standards, training records, and training timelines.
  • Collaborate with the Training Department, cross-site personnel, and internal/external resources to develop and implement new training procedures.
  • Assist with the development, revision and review of internal technical training processes and materials.
  • Ensure that qualified personnel are selected to facilitate departmental training.
  • Participate in internal/client/regulatory audits and Corrective Action and Preventative Action (CAPA) responses pertaining to technical training as needed.
  • Practice/maintain skills and procedures, work independently, and follow SOPs/processes.
  • Keep abreast of current learning and development trends and practices in field of expertise.
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in a scientific discipline.
  • Experience: 4 – 6 years related experience in a cGMP laboratory facility (pharmaceutical or biotech) and training environment.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Other: Proficient with MS Office applications and the ability to learn and use various software packages. Advanced understanding of regulations and cGMPs/SOPs. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to adapt to changing environments, prioritize, and meet deadlines. Must be able to effectively perform public speaking and utilize effective training principles. Knowledge of computer network navigation and common software applications.
Compensation Data

The pay rate for this role is $34.75 - $36.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
