Job summary

Terumo Neuro in the United States is seeking a Technician I, Manufacturing Process to support manufacturing processes across assembly, chemistry, injection molding, or equipment design, ensuring materials, documents, and processes comply with company practices.

You will gain hands-on experience with process equipment, IQ/OQ/PQ, process improvement projects, and documentation - while following GMP and safety requirements; good written/verbal communication and basic MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work with a variety of process and manufacturing equipment.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair common equipment failures.
• Provide operator training and monitor document conformance.
• Identify and correct common process or manufacturing issues.
• Support production or process development as required.
• Responsible for manufacturing line support via IQ/OQ/PQ, equipment purchases, and process improvements.
• Perform in-process/release/validation testing and report results.
• Responsible for instrumentation maintenance and upkeep.
• Draft controlled documentation including drawings, tooling qualification, and equipment specification.
• Maintain laboratory raw material and supplies.
• Perform day-to-day tasks under supervision.
• Comply with laws and Quality Management System requirements and ethics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Support the manufacturing processes, which may include, but are not limited to, assembly, chemistry, injection molding, or equipment design of products. Ensure materials, documents, and processes are compliant with the established company practices and procedures. Aid in researching innovative ideas and contribute to process optimization initiatives through continuous improvement projects. Focus is on both theoretical and practical solution development through the application of the scientific process. Job duties:

• Work with a variety of process and manufacturing equipment.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair common equipment failures.

• Provide operator training and monitor document conformance.

• Identify and correct common process or manufacturing issues.

• Support production or process development as required.

• Responsible for manufacturing line support via execution of equipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ), equipment purchases, process improvement initiatives, etc.

• Perform in-process/release/validation testing and reports results.

• Responsible for instrumentation maintenance and upkeep.

• Draft controlled documentation including, but not limited to, component drawings, tooling qualification, and equipment specification.

• Maintain laboratory raw material and supplies.

• Perform day-to-day tasks under supervision.

• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of related work experience.

3. Good written and verbal communication skills.

4. Ability to read, write, and speak in English.

5. Good laboratory or manufacturing practices and the ability to follow required safety procedures.

6. Ability to read and understand technical documentation.

7. Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, etc.

Desired Requirements

1. Computer skills including Auto-Cad or SolidWorks.

2. Knowledge of materials, heat treatment, and plating.

3. Experience in the medical device industry.

Physical

• Extended periods of microscope use.

• Extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Light lifting, up to 25 lbs.

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

• Gowning may be required in controlled environments. Personal Protective Equipment use, including safety glasses and gloves, required in certain tasks or areas.

• May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.

• May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).
