Job summary

Terumo Neuro in Aliso Viejo, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Line Maintenance Technician to support production equipment. You will perform routine inspections, troubleshoot, and repair or replace defective parts to keep lines running and quality high.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of related experience, and familiarity with GMP, documentation, and basic MS Office. You will collaborate with Production and QA, work nights/weekends as needed, and follow safety rules to maintain

Responsibilities

• Maintain all assigned test equipment and ensure equipment is in calibration state.
• Perform equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties.
• Coordinate maintenance/repair of equipment between cross-functional operation and third parties when necessary.
• Ensure timely turnaround time on all equipment maintenance and repair services.
• Generate and maintain maintenance records such as work orders and calibration reports.
• Assist in maintaining equipment asset data.
• Work with Production to maximize uptime and quality performance.
• Use tools and equipment to repair or modify parts and equipment.
• Adhere to Quality Management System processes and company ethics.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Description:

Support assigned maintenance functions of production equipment in the assigned area. Perform routine inspection and repair or replacement of defective or faulty parts on machines and related equipment. Ensure good workmanship and complete all tasks with minimum delay. Support the manufacturing team, provide internal customer support, and build a high level of trust with internal customers and Quality Assurance/Manufacturing personnel. Identify and execute tasks that enhance the ability of the team to provide an added value line maintenance service for the site and provide guidance and direction on maintenance technical issues. Assist in providing innovative, creative, effective, and long-term solutions related to manufacturing line maintenance and repair. Job duties:

• Maintain all assigned test equipment and ensure equipment is in calibration state.

• Perform equipment preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair duties.

• When necessary, coordinate maintenance/repair of equipment between cross-functional operation and third parties.

• Ensure timely turnaround time on all equipment maintenance and repair services.

• Generate and maintain appropriate work-related records, such as maintenance work orders, Installation Qualification reports, Preventative Maintenance schedules and checklists, etc.

• Assist in maintaining equipment asset data.

• Work with Production to maximize uptime and quality performance.

• Use tools and equipment to repair or modify parts and equipment.

• Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. Minimum of one (1) year of related work experience.

Desired Qualifications

2. Ability to analyze, investigate, and help solve technical issues involving manufacturing equipment.

3. Ability to work independently and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

4. Good time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.

5. Technical school education or equivalent combination of education and experience.

6. Strong background in machine maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

7. Knowledge and experience working with machine control systems, including PLC’s (Panasonic, AB, Mitsubishi, etc.), servo controls, and Variable Speed Drives, including vision systems.

Physical

• Extended periods of computer use.

• Extended periods of sitting or standing.

• Extended periods of working in a controlled environment (e.g., cleanrooms).

• Gowning may be required in controlled environments. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) use, including safety glasses and gloves, required for certain tasks and areas.

• May work with machinery and chemicals, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.

• Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

• May be required within the position to be in an environment that can include radiation exposure (such as in Cathlabs).
