Job summary

Monogram Foods in Medford, MA seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep high‑speed food manufacturing equipment running through routine repairs and preventive maintenance.

You will read technical manuals, perform PMs, setups and repairs, use CMMS to document work, and follow GMP and LOTO safety protocols while working nights, with possible weekend shifts and the physical demands of lifting and exposure to heat and cold.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Some flexibility may be available with scheduling. Weekend work may be required based on business needs.

Position Overview

Maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. The equipment consists of automated high-speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, and the skills needed include good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and working at pace.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Ability to maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
• Ability to work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
• Equipment setup, adjustment, troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair.
• Use of shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
• Perform work (if qualified) on electric motors and controls.
• Work with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
• Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
• Ability to perform duties outside and inside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and/or humid conditions, etc.

Education And Experience

The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Technical college education or equivalent 2 years' experience in a manufacturing-related field preferred.
• Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment.
• Be knowledgeable of and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods.
• Be knowledgeable of your department's safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
• You must be able to speak, read and write in English.
