Assembles, installs, maintains, and pressure tests all pipes, fittings, and fixtures water, drainage, and sprinkler systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.Detects needed repairs on sprinkler equipment following established inspection procedures. Determines sources of irrigation malfunctions and completes repairs as indicated or according to work orders.Installs and repairs pipes, fittings, valves, fixtures, and plumbing system equipment.Receives and completes work orders. Selects material and hardware and makes time and materials estimates. Maintains accurate records on material and labor used.Inspects jobs upon completion and ensures areas are clean.Works with building principals and supervisors to complete projects.Responds to emergency calls as needed.Maintains inventory of district-owned tools, equipment, and materials. Performs preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and ensures that equipment is in safe operating condition.Follows established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing. Position PurposeAssists the Irrigation Technician III with installing, repairing and maintaining district sprinkler systems.
