Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on a variety of equipment, including aerial work platforms and pumps. The role emphasizes safety and efficiency, with opportunities to develop a career track in service or operations management.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 years of technician experience with diesel or heavy equipment. Bilingual ability may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desirable.
• 1–3 years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or related gear.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and makes repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
• Works on equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools and equipment; may include large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas gear.
• Must be able to provide tools of the trade and work in a fast-paced environment.
