Job summary

Forge Biologics seeks a Technician I, GMP Manufacturing Support, to support AAV gene therapy production. The role focuses on cleaning and sanitizing GMP equipment and facilities, prep of tubing sets, and inventory management within a cleanroom space.

This entry-level position offers foundational experience across production support activities. You will collaborate with GMP Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Product Development teams to maintain compliance, gather data, and contribute to process

Qualifications

Experience following SOPs or other protocols/work instructions.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn manufacturing software.
Ability to work the hours necessary to support production and/or product transfer activities.
Ability to work in loud noise environments and in PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and sanitization of GMP facilities and equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMP regulations.
Assist in tube set preparation under supervision, following procedures and documentation practices.
Replenish cleaning and consumables supplies for manufacturing operations; set reorder points and place orders.
Stock and maintain common-use items in the cleanroom; ensure adequate inventory for daily operations.

About The Role:

The Technician I, GMP Manufacturing Support,performs a wide range of functions crucial to AAV gene therapy production. This positionis responsible forcleaning and sanitization of GMP equipment and facilities, preparing tubing setsand inventory management within the cleanroom space.This entry-level position offers an opportunity to gain foundational experience in the multifaceted support activities crucialfor the production ofAAV gene therapy products.

Responsibilities:

Perform the cleaning and sanitization of GMP manufacturing facilities and equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and cGMPregulations.
Assistin tube set preparation under supervision, adhering to specific procedures and documentationpractices.
Replenish cleaning andconsumablessuppliesrequiredfor manufacturing operations, setting reorder points, and placing orders as per forecastdemand.
Stock andmaintaincommon-use items in the cleanroom, ensuring that inventory levels are adequate for daily operations and that items are readily available.
Monitor theexpirationdates and conditions of consumables, ensuring that they are rotated and replaced as necessary to prevent shortages or non-compliance.
Maintain real-time andaccuratedocumentation; perform the manufacturing review of logbooks, MPR’s, and associateddocuments.
Assistin troubleshooting and resolving minor equipment or process-related issues under the guidance of senior teammembers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GMP Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Product Development, to support efficient manufacturingoperations.
Assistin equipment setup, inventory management, and material requests for cleaning and manufacturingactivities.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhancedepartment-relatedprocesses and improve efficiency.
Follow safety procedures andmaintaina clean workspace.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalentGEDrequired
Experience following SOPs or other protocols/work instructions

Ability to work in loud noise environments and in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed

Preferred Skills:

Work Environment and Physical Demands
