Job summary

Oerlikon is hiring Technician I for the 2nd shift in Mequon, WI. You will handle, transport and load material, operate mechanical production equipment, inspect and pack product, and log downtime information.

This role requires following HSE and Quality standards and participating in continuous improvement initiatives. The position pays $20.00 per hour with a strong benefits program and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Able to stand 9+ hours and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Performs production operations to support the manufacturing process.
• Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Your Responsibilities:

Your Profile:

• High School graduate or GED or equivalent experience.
• Able to do prolong standing 9+ hours or more.
• The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Good dexterity, attention to fine details, and depth perception to enable detail hand coordination.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand eye coordination and the ability to adjust focus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer skills to include basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and Access database to complete end of day reports.
• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required.
• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
