Job summary

FleetPride, the leading after-market distributor of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, seeks an entry-level Diesel Technician in Virginia. You will perform basic mechanical repairs and routine maintenance in a fast-paced shop.

The role requires an associate degree in Diesel Technology, 1+ year of mechanical experience, an air brake certification, and a valid driver’s license; hourly pay ranges from $12.77 to $35.50 for full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Diesel Technology associate degree.
• 1+ years of mechanical experience.
• Air Brake certification.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Class 7 and 8 truck/ trailer repair experience.
• CDL preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, lubrications and filter replacements.
• Repair, relining, replacing, and adjusting brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and test components using proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot exhaust, steering, and air conditioning systems.
• Record final measurements, services and parts used, noting any special requests.
• File, grind, sand and smooth filled or repaired surfaces.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
