Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• 1–3 years of automotive technician experience required.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes, models and sizes.
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the use of diagnostic equipment.
• Team-oriented, flexible and focused on customer service.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications using diagnostic devices such as infrared analyzers and computerized equipment.
• Tear down, repair, replace, or rebuild faulty assemblies including power and steering systems and engines.
• Rewire ignition systems, lights and instrument panels and repair transmissions (manual and automatic).
• Explain the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.

Compensation Overview

Experience & Qualifications Needed:

• Valid driver’s licenseand clean driving record
• 1-3 years of automotive technician experience is required.
• Ability to drive and handle various vehicle makes models, and sizes.
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment team-oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service.
• Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, electrical, engine, alignment systems, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc.

Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair vehicles to specifications, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices.
• Tear down, repair, replace, and/or rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, linkages, pistons, rods, gears, valves, and bearings.
• Rewire ignition systems, lights, and instrument panels and repairs manual and automatic transmissions.
• Adequately explains the technical diagnosis and required repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
