FALL CREEK FARM & NURSERY is seeking a GIS Technician in Centennial, CO. The role focuses on data analysis for engineering projects using ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, QGIS, and FME, with SQL scripting and office software proficiency.

The ideal candidate has a related degree or equivalent experience, and must be able to read, input, and analyze data while communicating with stakeholders. Training and after-hours work may be required.

• Regular and timely attendance is essential

A successful GIS Technician will be responsible for data analysis to ensure accuracy and timeliness of assigned engineering projects. At a minimum, the position requires a good working knowledge of telecommunications network design; experience with ESRI ArcGIS, Google Earth, QGIS,FME required, and SQL scripting; ability to use office related software and equipment; familiarity with telecommunications design software; ability to read, understand, interpret, input and analyze data.

Education/Experience:

• Warehouse or material handling experience related to organization and inventory of materials
• Any combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates ability to perform the designated job duties and responsibilities of the position.

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to make common sense understanding to carry out instructions that are provided in written, oral or drawing. Ability to deal with and understand problems involving different variables in many varied situations. Ability to collect, organize, disseminate and analyze significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts (measurements in terms of distance, proportions, percentages and area. Ability to apply concepts of basic mathematics including algebra and geometry.

Language Skills:

• Ability to read, understand and interpret documents such as safety rules and requirements, machine manuals of operation and process procedures. Ability to write information including reports. Ability to speak effectively to customers, vendors and coworkers up through all levels of management and staff.

Software Requirements:

• Must have intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have general computer knowledge

Pay Range:The Technician GIS position pays an hourly wage of $25.00 - $32.00, depending on experience.
