What you'll do

As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our retail store, your responsibilities include routine maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will operate under the supervision of the Local General Maintenance Manager, following maintenance schedules, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairs.

Position Requirements

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent ladder use and working at heights
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Work in various temperatures
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and pass MVR
• Vocational or technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience in trades like plumbing, electrical, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair facilities and equipment using multiple craft skills
• Utilize work order system for reactive repairs and documentation
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities and equipment for issues
• Complete safety and operation training

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $19.00 to $35.00, based on experience and location. Additional premiums may apply depending on schedule and work performed.

Minimum Qualifications

Outlined qualifications include vocational or technical certification and experience in trades, valid driver’s license, and eligibility for a CDL.

Preferred Qualifications

Optional qualifications include completion of a trade program, trade licenses, and proficiency in office software.
