As a General Facilities Maintenance Technician at our local retail store, your role involves executing routine maintenance tasks to uphold the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of Walmart Stores, equipment, or fixtures. Operating under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager, you'll adhere to established maintenance schedules and guidelines, conducting inspections, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures.

Position Requirements:

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Ability to move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience, in trades such as plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) with hand tools, power tools, and other equipment
• Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document activities
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely

Compensation:

Hourly wage range: $19.00-$35.00. Actual rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the location. Additional premiums may apply based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in trades such as plumbing, electrical, material handling, or related, or 5 years' experience in these trades
• Valid Driver's License
• Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program or a related trade license
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
