Job summary

Aecon is hiring for fiber installation and repair roles in Minnesota. You will perform safe, customer-focused fiber-to-the-home installations, troubleshoot Internet/Phone services, and support residential and commercial clients.

Travel and outdoor work with ladders or bucket trucks may be required. Ideal candidates have prior home-installation experience, excellent communication, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • Previous customer in home installation and repair experience (cable, Satellite TV, phone, or internet).
  • Experience with Fiber is an asset but not required.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills.
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract annually.
  • Willing to work indoors and outdoors in changing weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in varying heights and spaces.
  • Capable of lifting and handling materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Technically inclined with a desire to learn.
  • Comfortable working at heights with ladders or bucket truck (training provided).
  • Occasional travel may be required.

  • Safety conscious and follow a high safety culture.
  • Deliver high-quality fiber-to-the-home installations for customers in homes and businesses.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Internet and Phone services.
  • Install and repair Internet and fiber networks.
  • Cover a geographical area and complete daily work assignments.
  • Adapt to changing technologies, methods, and procedures.
  • Provision and maintain outside plant facilities, including buried and aerial fiber networks.
  • Manage workloads with minimal direction.
  • Stay organized and self-motivated.
  • Be ready to travel as required.

Pay And Benefits

The expected pay range for this role is $24 - $26 per hour

Individual pay is determined based on several factors, including work location, education, experience, unique skills and job conditions. Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
