Qualifications

HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
EPA Type I and Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
HVAC-R/Mechanical Journeyman where required.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within last five years.

What you'll do

What you'll bring

Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels.
Ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and comply with building codes and HVAC/R regulations.
Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial environments.
Knowledge of EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols and OSHA safety standards.
Experience leading teams and mentoring technicians on technical procedures and safety practices.
Strong communication skills to effectively explain technical issues and service outcomes to customers.
Proficiency in using digital tools for scheduling, inventory tracking, and service documentation.
Valid driver’s license with ability to operate company vehicles safely and maintain required documentation.

The hourly wage range for this position is $29.00 - $58.00**The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

Option 1: Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
Option 2: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
