Qualifications

  • HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
  • Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
  • Commercial driving record with no (or minimal) violations in recent years.

The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00* *The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Vocational or technical HVAC certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC and building controls.
  • Option 1: 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical, plumbing, material handling- equipment, or related trades.
  • Option 2: 2 years’ store experience.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
  • Valid EPA Section 608 Certification for the handling and servicing of refrigerants.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years. Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years. No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years. No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a 2-year vocational or technical HVAC program.
  • Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
