Position Summary

The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility operations. This role involves coordinating resources, overseeing scheduled work, and maintaining equipment while adhering to safety and environmental regulations. The position requires effective communication with facility users and leadership, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to optimize costs and sustainability. The Technician supports operational excellence by maintaining quality standards, managing third-party providers, and ensuring all activities align with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in facility maintenance and exterior services, including seasonal landscaping and snow removal operations.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, approve purchases, and conduct cost comparisons for materials and equipment.
• Skilled in operating and inspecting heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently.
• Demonstrated capability to lead third-party providers, conduct quality inspections, and resolve customer concerns.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with internal teams and external partners.
• Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and integrity in all work activities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 - $35.00**The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
• Valid state-issued driver's license

• Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
• Experience in third-party management.
