Job summary

Pilot Company is hiring for a driver/warehouse role in California. Pay ranges from $20.15 to $33.25 per hour, with duties including operating vehicles up to 26,000 lbs GVWR, servicing customers, and performing safety inspections.

The position requires a high school diploma, forklift certification, and a valid California driver’s license. TWIC eligibility and ability to handle hazardous materials are also expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles up to 26,000 lbs GVWR per regulations and policies.
• Interface effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Perform pre/post trip inspections and report defects.
• Maintain safety procedures and work with minimal supervision.
• Clean, paint, and prep fuel and lubricant tanks; forklift operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description
Pay Rates Starting between: $20.15 - $33.25 / hour

• Operates company vehicles with a GVWR up to 26,000lbs in accordance with company regulations, state and federal laws, and customer policies.
• Ability to effectively interface with customers.
• Conducts assigned duties while following all proper safety procedures.
• Performs pre and post trip inspections of vehicles and reports all defects to the maintenance department.
• Works responsibly with a minimum amount of supervision.
• Cleaning, painting and prepping fuel and lubricants tanks
• Forklift operation.
• Troubleshoot various equipment failures.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned by direct supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certificate required.
• Forklift Certified.
• Must have and maintain current California Driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain a Transportation Workers Identification CARD (TWIC)
• Basic understanding of plumbing, mechanical and electric repair
• Courteous to customers and all staff

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds alone and over 75 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to climb up and down a ladder.
