What You’ll Be Doing

As an Electrical Technician, you’ll install, diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical systems on ambulances and other emergency vehicles. From warning lights and power systems to critical low‑voltage components, you’ll play a direct role in ensuring these vehicles leave our facility ready to perform when lives are on the line.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues
  • Installing and wiring 12VDC and 120VAC electrical systems
  • Repairing or replacing wiring, switches, lights, and electrical components
  • Testing systems for proper operation, safety, and compliance
  • Collaborating with technicians and mechanics to ensure vehicle readiness
  • Troubleshooting low‑voltage electrical systems
  • Providing technical support to customers and team members
  • Staying current on evolving electrical technologies and best practices
  • Maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience working with electrical wiring and systems
  • Strong understanding of 12VDC and 120VAC electrical systems
  • Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting low‑voltage electrical systems
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
  • Knowledge of electrical safety standards and wiring best practices

ADA Requirements
  • Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach, or otherwise move for extended periods of time
  • Occasional repetitive motion and grasping
  • Occasional climbing to reach areas
  • Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs occasionally, >20 lbs frequently
  • Typically sits, grasp items and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer
  • Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
