We currently have an immediate opening for a dependable and dedicated Mechanic to support our ongoing success in a family-like environment.

Main responsibilities include maintaining and repairing equipment safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively to maximize vehicle utilization and longevity.

Essential Functions
  • Repair and maintain a variety of equipment, including cabs, bodies, and other machinery, to ensure a reliable fleet for our operations.
  • Perform regular preventative maintenance such as oil and filter changes, lubrication, hose and belt replacements, transmission fluids, coolant systems, batteries, brake lines and adjustments, hydraulics, lights, electrical components, and engine parts.
  • Inspect and test equipment at scheduled intervals or after malfunctions. Diagnose issues, disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts as needed.
  • Ensure repairs meet safety and inspection standards.
  • Test drive repaired equipment on-site; may operate service vehicles to travel to other divisions or for parts pickup.
  • Utilize hoists, winches, lifts, gauges, drills, grinders, and hand tools specific to auto/truck mechanics.
  • Maintain accurate service records, including time and parts used.
  • Perform welding, bodywork, and repainting as necessary.
  • Review Vehicle Condition Reports and perform indicated repairs.
  • Report unsafe equipment and recommend corrective actions.
  • Notify the Maintenance Manager of work beyond the mechanic's scope or when guidance is needed.
  • Work independently to complete tasks efficiently.
