Job summary

The Radiologic Technologist role performs imaging studies under the Chief Technologist, applying ionizing radiation with independent judgment and leadership for staff technologists.

Requirements include an associate degree, ARRT registration, New York state license with IV contrast certification; IV insertion and cardiac CT experience are preferred. Schedule is 9 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, perform sophisticated imaging studies.

• Provide leadership for staff technologists.
• Assign work to staff technologists and manage traffic in the technical area.

SCHEDULE: 9 AM-5:30 PM. Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Chief Technologist, performs necessary sophisticated imaging studies at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail.
• Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for imaging diagnosis.
• Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.
• Provides leadership role for staff technologists.
• Assigns work to staff technologist and is generally responsible for traffic control in technical area.

Requirements

• Associate degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training that meets the requirements for certification by the ARRT.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist- licensed & injection certified by the state of New York.
• IV contrast certified required.
• AART certified required.
• IV insertion experience preferred.
• Experience in Cardiac CTscans preferred.
