Waste Pro is seeking motivated individuals for Entry-Level Mechanics / Preventative Maintenance Technicians. No extensive experience required; training provided. You will work on diesel, gasoline, and CNG-powered trucks, gaining hands-on experience in preventative maintenance and repairs.

You will assist with inspections, lubrication, and basic repairs, while learning diagnostics alongside experienced technicians. Benefits include competitive pay, tool allowance, and comprehensive coverage.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Assist drivers with daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Perform lubrication and routine maintenance on heavy- and light-duty trucks.
• Learn brake inspection procedures and documentation requirements.
• Assist with repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspensions.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area according to OSHA standards.

Summary of Position

Perform preventative maintenance services and assist with repairs on heavy-duty and light-duty trucks. Gain hands‑on experience working with diesel, gasoline, and CNG-powered vehicles, including garbage and recycling trucks.

What You'll Do

Assist drivers with daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Perform safety inspections during PM services and Safety Lane checks

Complete lubrication services on assigned vehicles and equipment

Learn brake inspection procedures and documentation requirements

Assist with maintenance and repairs on:

• Rear Load Trucks
• Front Load Trucks
• Roll-Off Trucks
• Grapple Trucks
• Portable Toilet Service Trucks
• Other heavy-duty waste collection equipment

Perform fluid checks and top-offs, including:

• Engine Oil
• Hydraulic Fluid
• Transmission Fluid
• DEF Fluid

Help complete repair orders, parts documentation, and computer data entry

Maintain a clean and safe work environment following OSHA and company standards

Work alongside experienced A & B Technicians to learn repair and diagnostic procedures

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn

Ability to identify visible vehicle defects such as:

• Lights
• Mirrors
• Leaks
• Body Damage

Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and inspections

Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments

Ability to learn lubrication schedules and procedures

Ability to assist with repairs involving:

• Engines
• Transmissions
• Brakes
• Suspension Systems
• Electrical Systems
• Hydraulic Systems

Familiarity with hand tools and shop equipment

Basic computer skills

Strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to safety

OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• * Employees in this job classification must attend and participate in corporation sponsored training courses as assigned.
• * Employees in this job classification are responsible for keeping up to date on current technology, as job appropriate, being used by Waste Pro.
• * Any additional job duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.
