Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a production teammate to directly support battery manufacturing for space launch vehicles. You will join a team of technicians and engineers, applying technical expertise and rigorous quality standards to advance safe human spaceflight.

A positive attitude and commitment to safety are required. The role operates on a first-shift schedule (7:00 am–3:30 pm, Monday–Friday) with relocation support available to suitable candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 1–2 years in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
• Physical: Ability to stand for long periods, lift objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail and quality control.
• Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting.
• Teamwork in a production environment.
• Adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and production equipment on the line.
• Handle materials, feed into machines, weigh ingredients as needed.
• Assemble components on the production line following procedures.
• Inspect products for defects and remove faulty items.
• Package finished products and label for shipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow safety protocols.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report to maintenance.
• Follow production schedules to meet targets.

This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

Job Description

As part of a hardworking team of specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will directly support battery manufacturing for many different space launch vehicles.

We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is required!

Shift :

A Shift (7am - 3:30pm Mon-Fri)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Operating machinery: Running various production equipment like conveyor belts, automated machines, and hand tools to manufacture products.
• Material handling: Feeding raw materials into machines, measuring and weighing materials as needed.
• Assembly: Assembling components on a production line, following proper assembly procedures.
• Quality control: Inspecting products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards, and removing faulty items.
• Packaging: Packaging finished products, labeling, and preparing them for shipment.
• Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the work area clean and organized, following safety protocols.
• Basic troubleshooting: Identifying and reporting minor equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Following production schedules: Meeting production targets and deadlines.
• All while adhering to safety and quality standards

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• Experience: Minimum 1-2years in a manufacturing assembly setting
• Physical ability: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy and focus on quality control.
• Basic mechanical skills: Understanding of machinery operation and ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Teamwork: Working effectively with other production workers on the assembly line.
• Ability to adhere to established procedures and safety guidelines.
