Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Integration Technician to support production and assembly of aerospace components for Lunar missions. You will work on high-rate manufacturing, applying precision tools, and following strict quality standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes transitioning from development to production, strict safety, and continuous improvement in a dynamic fabrication environment. Overtime may be required to meet mission milestones.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or related field.
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with precision calibration tools (torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker).
  • Able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Experience with adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets.
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office.

Key Responsibilities

The Integration Technician at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency and reliability of aerospace components through cutting-edge assembly methods. As part of a large, passionate, and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture, assemble, hardware for our various Lunar missions. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of transforming the way we generate processes for our Lunar missions. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another related field: 3+ years
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Experience with precision calibration tools including torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, and optical measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights (work stands, ladders, lifts) and/or in confined spaces.
  • Expertise in various applications, including adhesives, sealants, and thermal blankets.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field.
  • Experience with cryogenic systems, fluid assembly, and aerospace/launch vehicle assembly, crucial for ensuring the integrity and reliability of our spacecraft's propulsion systems.
  • Knowledge of precision assembly processes and handling large aerospace components.
  • Strong technical and leadership skills with a keen attention to detail, essential for leading teams in complex integration tasks.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills in various teams to foster a positive work environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and curiosity for optimizing processes, driving innovation.
  • Experience working on aerospace development.
  • Experience with large out-of-autoclave curing and production control systems.
  • Willingness to work overtime.
Base Pay Range For

WA applicants is $29.91 - $41.87
