Job summary

Caliber Collision Evansville is hiring for a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to perform all-purpose duties, repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition under industry-approved techniques. You will learn reading estimates, identifying damage, repairing vehicles, and checking work for quality under a mentor’s guidance.

Participants are paid weekly, eligible for medical, dental and vision benefits from day one, and will receive a Snap-On tool bag after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Nice to have, but not required: previous collision experience or Collision Vo-Tech certification.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform all-purpose duties to repair vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Follow mentor’s directions while learning to read estimates and identify damage.
• Repair vehicles under supervision and check work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required training and hands-on skills for TAP Body Apprentice.

JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques and take responsibility for learning all training material and hands‑on skills. The TAP Body Apprentice will also follow the mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy
• Nice to have, but not required : Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification

ABILITIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to do consistent physical activity – reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand instructions – written and verbal
• Can prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP
