Job summary

Caliber Collision is hiring for a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) - Body Apprentice in Naperville, IL. The role includes performing all-purpose duties, repairing vehicles to pre-accident condition, and learning through hands-on training under a mentor.

The TAP Body Apprentice can earn $16–$18 per hour, with weekly pay and immediate benefits. Tools are provided after 90 days, plus a $1,000 anniversary bonus after 12 months in the role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license; eligible for Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Previous collision experience or Collision Vo-Tech certification is a plus.
• Complete required TAP training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Repair vehicles to pre-accident condition using approved repair techniques.
• Follow mentor's direction and learn to read estimates.
• Identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.

JOB SUMMARY

Caliber Collision has an immediate job opening for a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) - Body Apprentice to perform all-purpose duties, which may include, but not limited to repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques and take responsibility for learning all training material and hands-on skills. The TAP Body Apprentice will also follow the mentor's direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.

REQUIREMENTS

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Have a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber's insurance policy
• Nice to have, but not required : Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification

ABILITIES/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• Ability to do consistent physical activity - reach below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, and squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand instructions - written and verbal
• Can prioritize competing tasks and adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP
