A reputable company specializing in leak detection services is seeking a motivated individual to assist in detecting and repairing leaks in various systems. This full-time position requires physical capabilities, mechanical knowledge, and strong customer service skills while providing the opportunity for growth and performance-based compensation in a supportive team environment.

American Leak Detection provides leak detection services for water, sewer, gas, building envelopes, and irrigation systems, as well as line locating services for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. Our services include leak detection on pools, spas, waterfalls, fountains, and ponds at various levels. We are seeking a mechanically inclined and highly motivated individual eager to learn about finding and fixing concealed leaks.
This is a full-time position involving travel throughout Columbus and surrounding areas in a work vehicle. Work hours are Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm, with some days starting at 8 am and ending later depending on jobsite locations and seasonal demands.
Pay is commensurate with experience and performance, with potential increases after training completion. Additional bonus pay may be awarded based on job performance and sales.
Work Experience Requirements
Good customer service skills are essential. Work will primarily be in Columbus, OH, and surrounding areas, with some weekends or nights possible for commercial projects, and occasional travel outside the metro area.
Candidates with prior plumbing or pool experience and strong problem-solving skills are highly preferred.
Duties include industry familiarization, on-the-job training with specialized electronic and sonar equipment, and demonstrating the ability to use computer technologies for workflow and testing results. Good written communication skills are preferred. COVID-19 safety protocols are followed, and a non-disclosure agreement is required upon hiring.
Trained technicians will locate leaks in residential and pool plumbing systems, using specialized equipment and diving gear as needed. Collaboration on larger commercial projects is expected.
This position is based on a 90-day probationary period, after which employment and pay will be evaluated.
