Job summary

Leonardo Helicopters in Philadelphia is seeking a skilled technician to install all mechanical parts on helicopter assemblies, including rotor head, transmissions, engines, hydraulic lines and flight controls, following engineering drawings and production schedules.

The technician must navigate cramped spaces, adapt methods to obstacles, and ensure accurate assembly while adhering to quality standards. This role offers opportunities in a leading aviation manufacturer with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of mechanical aviation production experience.
• Knowledge of rotor/wing aircraft mechanics.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Install all mechanical helicopter assemblies per drawings and job cards.
• Follow engineering drawings and revisions and production schedules.
• Work in possibly cramped areas and determine best method to perform tasks.

1. Summary of Position

Brief description of overall responsibilities and function

The technician will be responsible for installing all mechanical parts on the assembly of the helicopter, such as rotor head, transmissions, engines, hydraulic lines and flight controls, working in areas that may be cramped and/or little room. The technician will work from engineering drawings and job cards and follow the production schedule.

The technician must be able to work through obstacles and know the best method to perform the job.

2. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform job in amount of time given (30%)
• Follow Engineering Drawings and Revisions (30%)
• Install assemblies with accuracy (30%)
• On the job training (10%)
• TOTAL: 100%

Qualifications for Position

A. Education

• HS Diploma or equivalent

B. Experience

• 3 to 5 years of mechanical aviation production required

C. Competencies & Attributes

• Knowledge of rotary or fixed wing
• General overall knowledge of aviation mechanics
