On-site presence is required, with duties spanning design support, testing, troubleshooting, modification, and assembly from schematics and layouts.

The role emphasizes foundational electronic skills, assembly and environment testing, and collaboration in a team setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electronics or military electronics training.
• Training in ESD, safety and soldering within first year of employment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic devices using schematics and test equipment.
• Capable of working from verbal instructions and in team environments.
• Experience in soldering and computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine functions related to design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
• Work from schematics, layouts, or plans to conduct testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, and environmental testing.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on development systems to verify conformance with design specifications.
• Diagnose and isolate malfunctions at the component level.
• Collect and record data from engineering tests using oscilloscopes, VOMs, DVMs, and signal generators.

We are hiring Technician 2. This temporary opportunity involves supporting development engineering activities in the electronics and electro-mechanical systems field. The role supports design, testing, troubleshooting, modification, and assembly tasks, working from schematics, layouts, and written descriptions to perform routine operations and ensure conformance with specifications. The position requires on-site presence and is suited for individuals with foundational electronic technical skills.

• Perform routine technical functions related to design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems.
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, or plans to conduct testing, troubleshooting, prototype building, and environmental testing.
• Conduct operational tests and fault isolation on development systems to verify conformance with design specifications.
• Diagnose and isolate malfunctions at the component level.
• Collect and record data from engineering tests, utilizing appropriate diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes, VOMs, DVMs, and signal generators.

Technician 2 Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Electronics, a short certificate in electronics, or military training in electronics repair (proof required).
• Completion of training in ESD, safety, and FOD/soldering within the first year of employment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair electronic devices using schematics and test equipment.
• Capable of working from verbal instructions and in team environments.
• Experience in soldering and computer skills preferred.
