1st Shift - Mon-Fri 5:00am-1:30pm & mandatory OT on Sat per management.

2nd Shift - Mon-Fri 3:00pm-11:30pm; Saturdays mandatory for OT per management.

Engine Assembly Technician
Position Summary

The Engine Assembly Technician inspects, assembles, and tests engine components, subassemblies, and complete assemblies to ensure quality and performance standards are met.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect and qualify engine parts using visual and dimensional criteria
  • Operate measuring instruments and test equipment to verify tolerances and part placement
  • Identify parts by model type and part number
  • Assemble subassemblies and component parts into engines using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated methods
  • Operate air tools, hand tools, torque wrenches, and automated equipment
  • Record production and quality data manually and electronically
  • Recommend improvements to production methods, equipment performance, and product quality
  • Perform basic operator-prescribed maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including QS 9000 and ISO 14001 standards
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods
  • Frequent use of hands for handling tools and repetitive grasping
  • Frequent reaching with hands and arms
  • Occasional walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
  • Regular lifting up to 35 lbs and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Close vision and color vision required
  • Must be able to read and understand English

  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts

Candidate Requirements

  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Manufacturing experience preferred but not required
