Job summary

My CNH Reman in Springfield, MO is seeking a Production Technician I to assemble engines from kits, following work instructions and safety standards to meet OEM specifications.

Role involves operating basic machinery/tools (pallet jacks, dyno, hoist, torque wrenches, gauges) and collaborating with safety and quality teams to ensure compliance; 2nd shift Mon-Thu 4 pm–2:30 am with occasional Friday six hours. High school diploma or HiSET required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED) is required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, SDS, GHS labels, and JSA.
• Must wear all PPE and work with computers/software systems.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions and submit PCR for incorrect ones; contribute to continuous improvement.
• Be a team player and communicate effectively.
• Use existing procedures and basic problem-solving to resolve routine problems.
• Complete daily hoist and pallet jack inspections; maintain good housekeeping.
• Operate machines such as pallet jacks, dyno, hoist, air tools, Cleco machines, torque wrenches, air decay machine, gauges, etc.
• Utilize various hand tools.
• Achieve and maintain production goals.
• Take materials from pre-made kits to assemble engines.
• Test engines to ensure OEM specifications are met.
• Deliver finished engines to paint area.

Production Technician I - Engines 2nd Shift (Springfield MO)

This position is 2nd shift. Monday through Thursday 4 pm to 2:30 am and an occasional 6 hours on Friday.

As the engine assembler you will use engine kits to assemble purchased, remanufactured and fabricated parts, to produce a variety of engines crafted to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications. Must work with the safety department to ensure all local, state and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met, OSHA 1910, NFPA, DNR. Must work with the quality department to ensure all quality standards are met.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HiSet (Formerly GED)
• Regular, predictable and reliable attendance
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Globally Harmonized System (GHS) labels, Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Ability to work with computers and software systems, must wear all personal protective equipment PPE
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead
• Must be able to push, pull, lift up to 30 lbs. frequently, and lift 31-49 lbs. rarely.
• Work in a non-climate controlled area

Preferred

• 2 + years of experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment with at least 3 months in production
• Associate degree: Diesel Technology or Machine Tool and technology
