Job Summary

As a Dealership Automobile Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles that come into our service department. You will work with a team of experienced technicians and have the opportunity to grow your skills in a supportive environment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a positive experience and leave with their vehicles in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and more.
  • Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding the nature of repairs needed and provide estimates as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology, repair procedures, and industry trends through continuous education and training.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to dealership safety protocols and standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve shop efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Complete work orders, documenting repairs, and parts used in accordance with dealership policies.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification from an automotive technical program preferred.
  • Valid automotive service technician certification (e.g. ASE certification).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive repair, preferably in a dealership environment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems and components.
  • Ability to diagnose problems accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficient with automotive repair tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
