  • Perform detailed inspections to assess the extent of damage and develop appropriate mitigation plans.
  • Operate and maintain specialized equipment such as dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture meters to facilitate drying and remediation processes.
  • Remove damaged materials and contaminants safely while following industry best practices and safety protocols.
  • Document all work performed, including photographs and detailed reports, to support insurance claims and project tracking.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance representatives, and team members to coordinate mitigation efforts and provide status updates.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the mitigation process.

The Mitigation Technician plays a critical role in assessing, managing, and resolving environmental and property damage issues caused by water, fire, mold, and other hazardous conditions. This position involves responding promptly to emergency situations to minimize damage and restore affected areas to safe and habitable conditions. The technician will conduct thorough inspections, implement mitigation strategies, and operate specialized equipment to remove contaminants and prevent further deterioration. Collaboration with clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals is essential to ensure effective communication and successful project completion. Ultimately, the Mitigation Technician ensures that properties are restored efficiently while adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Basic knowledge of water, fire, and mold damage mitigation techniques.
  • Ability to operate mitigation equipment safely and effectively.

  • Certification in water damage restoration (e.g., IICRC WRT).
